Imagination Squared The Bamboo Oracle From the immemorial, bamboo has been regarded as a symbol for the noble character of mankind. Bamboo is deeply rooted, silent, humble and modest. Inside it carries no burden, is totally empty and signifies a quiet, peaceful mind. Bamboo is incredibly strong and versatile. It has been used to make flutes, fans, chopsticks, brooms, blinds and furniture, even water-pipe systems, houses and more. Little known in the West, bamboo also posesses special spiritual power. Those of us who have ever seen the sunlight breaking through the tender foliage of a real bamboo forest (only in the West does bamboo grow as a bush) know how easily the soul is elevated in its prescence. Ria's beautiful bamboo and nature paintings reflect her deep relationship with the wonderful power of nature. To commission Ria to paint you a bamboo forest, any size, any style and your choice of colors, call her at 904.854.0309.
